5 Easy Yoga Poses for Beginners


Yoga is a broad term for the collection of several poses of human exercises done in a particular way to benefit the body. These Yoga practices follow specific poses for the body helping them to maintain for getting benefits. Mountain Pose – Tadasana

Although it feels like simply standing still Mountain Pose is the first step for all standing poses. Feel the earth beneath you and press all the toes of your feet in one go spreading them. Use quadriceps to lift kneecaps and then inner thighs to draw the abdomen. In a motion now life your chest up pressing the tops of the shoulder in a downward motion. Bring your shoulder towards each other, opening your chest and keeping palms inwards. Now make a standing pose, take a deep breath and hold for few breaths to keep focus.

Tree Pose – Vrkasana

Another standing pose Tree Pose brings the early standing balance for beginners. This pose helps them to gain more clarity and focus on breathing as you keep the body still on a single foot. Start with normal standing, now take your right foot and place it slowly on the inner left upper thigh respectively. Now brings hands slowly in an embrace for praying. Shoulders must be relaxed in this pose and abdominals engaged. Repeat the pose for both sides while holding for 5 to 8 breaths in the beginning then gradually increasing.

Balasana – Child's Pose

Though it is a beginner's pose, Child's pose is practiced by all Yoga practitioners for the highest levels. Start with putting your body on sitting position with knees and feet together. Now slowly stretch your arms forward and then release the full body taking forehead to the ground. This pose can be practiced anytime during the day or before the bed to breakout the tension.

Adho Mukha Svanasana – Downward-facing dog

Start by keeping some distance between the two feet. Now bend forward to make a whole body in V formation maintaining distance among hands too. Breathe out slowly, lift your toes, try pushing back without bending legs or hands. This will stretch out your whole torso. Hold position, take a deep breath and exhale. This pose is highly beneficial for stretching the full-body, muscles, sinus problems, and enhancing blood circulations too.

Corpse – Savasana

One of the simplest Yoga poses, Savasana is done by lying flat on the ground with separated legs. Now go on to focus on breathing and relaxing the whole body for a few minutes.
